Durable Bridge Coating System

To ensure our bridge stands the test of time, we are using an advanced duplex coating system that combines two protective layers for maximum durability. The process begins with thermal spray zinc (TSZ) metalizing, which applies a protective zinc layer to prevent rust. This is followed by a multi-layer epoxy and urethane system to enhance durability and UV resistance.

TSZ Arc Spray

For exterior surfaces, we use ZmSU - a combination of zinc metalizing, an epoxy sealer, and a UV-resistant urethane topcoat for protection against sunlight and wear. For interior steel surfaces, which are not exposed to UV rays, we use ZmSE+E, incorporating an extra epoxy layer for enhanced resilience.

Exterior and interior finish differences

This innovative coating system is designed to ensure the bridge remains strong and visually appealing for its 100-year design life.
