Iowa Highway Research Board (IHRB)
The IHRB is an advisory board responsible for assisting the Iowa Counties, Iowa Cities and Iowa DOT in the development and continuation of an effective program of research and development in highway transportation.
State Planning and Research
To help states offset the costs associated with conducting transportation research and implementing and sharing the results, the federal government provides 80% of the funding for a qualified project through the State Planning & Research (SPR) program.
Collaboration and Partnerships
The purpose of the collaboration is to facilitate transportation research to benefit the State of Iowa. The collaboration partners also look for new ways to serve the state through regional and national research collaboration.
State Transportation Innovation Council & Programs
The State Transportation Innovation Council (STIC) is a federally required oversight committee that serves to identify and recommend innovation project ideas and manage the approved projects to completion.
