Download the msi file for installation of the Iowa DOT Bridge Tools Excel Add-in.

The Excel add-in offers two main tools.
The Staking Diagram Coordinates determines the Easting and Northing (EN) coordinates of a State Plane Coordinate System, for points on or off a bridge located on a horizontal alignment. The program guide can be accessed by clicking on the Support Documents icon on the ribbon and select the Program Guide option to open.
The Masterworks tool utilizes an Excel workbook generated by the third party program Masterworks that contains a single Bid Items and Reference Notes Excel spreadsheet. The Masterworks bid items and reference notes are parsed and added to the workbook as two separate worksheets. The added worksheets are the Estimated Quantities and Reference Notes. The tables in the added worksheets are formatted to be imported into a MicroStation .dgn file for use in a plan set. The program overview can be accessed by clicking on the icon on the ribbon.
Further instructions for generating the Bid Item quantities for bridge projects is also provided in Generating Bid Item and Quantity Tabulations for Bridge Plans
