The Iowa DOT's Public Transit Section is responsible to ensure that all state and federal requirements pertaining to public transit procurement are followed when using funds administered by the Iowa DOT. Transit systems may conduct their own procurement, to allow greater flexibility to meet local needs, but the Section will verify that all certifications being used in the solicitation are current and accurate.
