Aviation's Impact on Iowa's Economy

The 2022 Iowa Aviation Economic Impact Report was prepared to better understand how the aviation system works and concluded that air transportation is a key contributor to the state’s economy. Key uses and significant economic impacts illustrate the importance of maintaining a strong aviation system to keep Iowa’s economy moving forward.

Information in the report is expected to assist aviation stakeholders, including local, state and federal officials, in making informed decisions related to operations and investments in Iowa’s air transportation system. It will also be used in educating the public on the uses and benefits of aviation in Iowa.
