    Per the 2023 MUTCD, agencies must implement a method to maintain retroreflectivity of longitudinal pavement markings by September 6, 2026, except:

    • On roads with speed limits less than 35 mph or volumes less than 6,000 vpd
    • On continuously illuminated roads
    • For curb markings, parking space markings, and shared-use path markings

      Iowa DOT has published this map to help target these efforts.  As you zoom in on this interactive map, additional roadways will appear and the legend will update accordingly.  As noted on the map, efforts have been made to accurately represent speed limit data, but field verification is advised.
