Project Overview
The roundabout to be constructed at the intersection of U.S. 169 and Common Place, just south of the Adel city limits in Dallas County, Iowa, will improve safety and mobility for drivers and pedestrians.
Key features include:
- Crosswalks with flashing beacons to assist pedestrians in crossing the roadway
- Transition guidance from the rural surroundings south of Adel to the growing urban area, supporting future development and roadway improvements.
With this roundabout construction, the Iowa DOT will streamline traffic flow, minimize safety risks for both drivers and pedestrians, and lay the groundwork for long-term transportation growth in the region.
