CHEROKEE, Iowa – Oct. 14, 2025 – The Iowa Department of Transportation invites members of the media to a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the completion and opening of the new Iowa 3 bridge over the Little Sioux River in Cherokee.
The project was advanced a year in response to the 2024 historic flood event’s impacts to the traveling public. The project included the bridge replacement, an addition of an overflow structure, and roadway improvements.
