AMES, Iowa – Sept. 19, 2025 – Tell us what you think about proposed improvements to U.S. 30 at the intersection with Durham Avenue/3rd Avenue SW in State Center (Marshall County).
Changes include the construction of a reduced-conflict intersection (RCI) to improve safety and reduce crashes.
During the construction of the intersection modifications, U.S. 30 will be open to traffic. Durham Avenue and 3rd Avenue SW will be closed and have a detour for a portion of the construction period.
Construction is expected to start spring of 2026 and end fall of 2026.
