Sioux City, Iowa – April 4, 2023 – A pavement improvement project on Iowa 4 will require lane closures on weekdays beginning Monday, April 10 until late June, weather permitting.

Milling, pavement patching, paving road shoulders, and hot-mix asphalt resurfacing on Iowa 4 from Iowa 9 to the Minnesota state line will require lane closures while work is taking place. Motorists will be assisted through the work zone with a pilot car. Heartland Asphalt Inc. of Mason City was awarded the $2.7 million project.

Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
