Creston, Iowa – July 17, 2023 – If you are driving on Iowa 44 near the intersection with U.S. 169 north of Adel this week you need to be aware of short-term road closures that may slow down your trip.
Crews need to close Iowa 44 at the intersection of U.S. 169 to allow for paving of the intersection and turn lanes. Road closures of 30 minutes or less will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, and possibly Thursday, July 20, weather permitting.
Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
