Sioux City, Iowa – Aug. 15, 2023 – If you travel on Iowa 140 2.5 miles south of Iowa 3 in Plymouth County you need to be aware of a road closure that may slow down your trip beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15, until Thursday, Aug. 17, weather permitting.
While Iowa 140 is closed so crews can complete bridge deck overlay work, you will be directed to a marked detour that uses Plymouth County roads C-38 and L-12.
Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
