Marshalltown, Iowa – March 5, 2024 – The Iowa DOT needs to close the rest area on southbound Interstate 35 near Elkhart starting at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 11 until 5 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, weather permitting, so crews can work on the demolition of the NE 142nd Avenue bridge over I-35.
Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
