Dyersville, Iowa – June 5, 2024 – If you travel on U.S. 20 leaving Dyersville you should be aware of an upcoming ramp closure that may slow down your trip.
The Iowa DOT’s Manchester construction office announces that the westbound entrance ramp for Iowa 136 will be opened on Friday, June 7, weather permitting, so crews can continue repairs to U.S. 20 bridge over Iowa 136. The eastbound U.S. 20 entrance ramp will be closed once the westbound ramp is open.
If you are entering eastbound U.S. 20 from Iowa 136 you will be directed west to the Dyersville west interchange, turn around at 330th Avenue, and then return on eastbound U.S. 20. Thru traffic on eastbound U.S. 20 will be maintained in the left lane. This closure is expected to last until late July.
Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
