Davenport, Iowa – July 22, 2024 – If you use the westbound Interstate 280 ramp to reach westbound I-80 in Scott County you need to be aware of an upcoming overnight ramp closure that could slow down your trip.

Crews will close the ramp for construction work from 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, until 6 a.m. Thursday, July 25, weather permitting. While the ramp is closed, you will follow a marked detour route that will use eastbound I-80, Northwest Boulevard, and westbound I-80 (see map).

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
