Jefferson, Iowa – Oct. 11, 2024 – Beginning on Monday, Oct. 14 you will be able to access 580th Avenue/Story County Road R-70/Teller Avenue at the new interchange with U.S. 30 between Ames and Nevada.
With the opening of this interchange, the intersection and median crossing at Sand Hill Trail will be closing. If you want to travel south of U.S. 30 you will use the extension of 241st Street. When traveling north of U.S. 30 you will use the new frontage road to access U.S. 30 at the 580th Avenue interchange.
The new interchange on U.S. 30 is a part of a series of construction projects that will change how you access U.S. 30 along the corridor from Ames to Nevada. These changes will increase traffic flow and improve safety.
