Ames, Iowa – Nov. 1, 2024 – Tell us what you think about a planned pavement replacement on U.S. 18 from U.S. 75 to west of Division Street in Hull in Sioux County. (Event # 6266).

Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2025. This project will replace the existing pavement with a ten-inch-thick Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement and include ten-foot-wide shoulders. Six feet of the shoulder will be paved, and the remaining four feet will be granular.
Traffic will be detoured during construction. The proposed detour would follow Sioux County Roads K-52 and 310th Street. Access to properties will be maintained for the majority of the project. There will be times when construction operations may create limitations on access. Examples are when the existing pavement is being removed or new pavement is being placed at an entrance location.
