Marshalltown, Iowa – March 14, 2025 – Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 17 through 6 a.m. on Friday, March 21, Iowa Plains Signing, Inc. will be working with the Iowa DOT to close the northbound Interstate 35 rest area at approximately mile marker 99.5 near Huxley. Crews will be working on the removal of the Iowa 210 bridge over I-35.
The northbound I-35 rest area will close once again at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 24 until 6 a.m. Friday, March 28, so the 158th Street bridge over I-35 can be removed.
Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
