Manchester, Iowa – April 3, 2025 – If you drive on southbound I-380 and use the exit or entrance ramps at Boyson Road (exit 25) in Hiawatha you need to be aware of an upcoming exit closure that may slow down your trip.

Beginning on Tuesday, April 8, until Memorial Day, weather permitting, crews will close the exit and entrance ramps so work can begin on the Boyson Road interchange project.

The southbound entrance ramp will remain closed until July 4.

When Exit 25 is closed you will be directed to exit on Blairs Ferry Road and follow a marked detour route that leads you east on Blairs Ferry Road to Center Point Road, then north on Center Point Road to reach Boyson Road.

When the southbound entrance ramp will be detoured to Center Point Road, then south to Blairs Ferry.  Then enter SB I-380 from Blairs Ferry.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
