HIAWATHA, Iowa – June 12, 2025 – If you travel on Boyson Road at Interstate 380 in Hiawatha you need to be aware of an upcoming ramp closure that may slow down your trip, according to the Iowa DOT’s Manchester construction office.
Beginning on Sunday evening, June 15, weather permitting, the northbound I-380 exit ramp will be closed for construction work. While this is closed you will be directed to use the Tower Terrace exit and return on southbound I-380 to reach Boyson Road.
The southbound entrance ramp to I-380 that has been closed since April will reopen on Monday evening, June 16.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
