BETTENDORF, Iowa – Jan. 16, 2026 – If you travel on westbound Interstate 80 near Bettendorf you need to be aware of ramp and lane closures that may slow down your trip, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Iowa DOT Davenport construction office.
Crews have closed the left lane of westbound Interstate 80 and the westbound on-ramp at the Middle Road interchange (Exit 301) so needed bridge repairs can be made.
During the ramp closure you will follow a marked detour using the eastbound I-80 on-ramp to LeClaire (Exit 306) to access westbound I-80. You are reminded to be aware of changing traffic patterns while traveling through this area.
The on-ramp and left lane of westbound I-80 will be opened as soon as the repairs can be completed. The Iowa DOT thanks you for your patience and understanding while these repairs are being made.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
