AMES, Iowa – Feb. 25, 2026 – Tell us what you think about the proposed bridge replacement on Iowa 141 east of Hornick in Woodbury County.
Improvements include replacing the existing bridge with a new longer and wider bridge.
Construction will take place starting in the spring of 2031 and be completed by the end of 2031.
Iowa 141 will be closed during construction and an offsite detour will be utilized. The detour will likely use the following routes:
- North on County Road K67 at the junction of Iowa 141 and County Roads K67 to D25.
- West on County Road D25 to 300th Street.
- Continue west on 300th Street to County Road K64.
- South on County Road K64 to Iowa 141.
