Ames, Iowa – April 2, 2026 – The parking-only rest area on southbound Interstate 35 at Mile Marker 51 in Warren County near Saint Charles has reopened.
The rest area, which is used mostly by commercial motor carriers, has been closed over the winter months due to safety concerns of larger vehicles navigating the sloped entrance and exits to the area. It provides six parking spots and no facilities.
