WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – April 13, 2026 – Construction work continues on westbound Interstate 80 at the Jordan Creek Parkway interchange (Exit 121). You need to be aware of an upcoming ramp closure on this portion of westbound I-80 that begins on Tuesday, April 14, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Creston construction office.

Crews will close the Jordan Creek Parkway north entrance ramp for westbound I-80 (Exit 121) at 5 a.m. on April 14 until Oct. 30, 2026.

If you are traveling north on Jordan Creek Parkway you will continue north to University Avenue, turn left, and travel west until you reach Grand Prairie Parkway. You will turn left onto Grand Prairie Parkway, travel south and take the entrance ramp to reach westbound I-80 (Exit 118).

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
