AMES, Iowa – May 14, 2026 – Tell us what you think about proposed improvements on Iowa 21 from north of Iowa 212 to 3rd Street in Belle Plaine in Iowa County.
Changes include:
- Three overflow bridges
- Pavement reconstruction
- Increasing elevation to above the 100-year floodplain.
Due to bridge construction, traffic will be detoured using US 6 and US 63. Construction is expected to start spring of 2028 and end fall of that year.
