AMES, Iowa – July 30, 2026 – Tell us what you think about the proposed bridge replacement on Iowa 141 over Smokey Hollow Creek in Smithland in Woodbury County.
Improvements include replacing the existing bridge with a new bridge.
Construction will take place during 2029.
Iowa 141 will be closed during construction, and an off-site detour will be utilized. The detour will likely use the following routes:
- Iowa 31
- County Road D54
- Iowa 175
