AMES, Iowa – Aug. 3, 2026 – Tell us what you think about the proposed bridge replacement on Iowa 31 over Stratton Creek in Washta in Cherokee County.
Improvements include replacing the existing bridge with a new bridge.
Construction will take place in 2029.
Iowa 31 will be closed during construction and an offsite detour will be utilized. The detour will likely use the following routes:
- County Road C66
- U.S. 59
