AMES, Iowa – Aug. 5, 2026 – Tell us what you think about the proposed bridge replacement on Iowa 3 over Boylan Creek in rural Butler County.
Proposed improvements include:
- Removal and replacement of the existing bridge over the main channel.
- Reconstruct approach pavement.
- Replace guardrail.
- Construct new overflow bridge and culvert.
Traffic will be detoured using County Roads S56 and C23, and Iowa 14. Construction is expected to start in the spring of 2028 and end in the fall of 2028.
