AMES, Iowa – Aug. 18, 2026 – Tell us what you think about the proposed culvert replacement on U.S. 18 west of County Road M22 in O’Brien County.
Improvements include replacing the existing culvert with a new culvert.
Construction will take place in 2029.
U.S. 18 will be closed during construction and an offsite detour will be utilized. The detour will likely use the following routes:
- County Road M12 (Vine Avenue)
- County Road B20 (330th Street)
- County Road B20 (Warbler Avenue)
- County Road B20 (340th Street)
- County Road M22 (100th Avenue)
