SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Oct. 5, 2026 — Crews will need to close lanes for pavement maintenance work (crack filling) on two stretches of roadway in Sioux City beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 6, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s District 3 Office.
Lane closures will occur on these roadways:
- Business U.S. 20/Gordon Drive from the U.S. 20/U.S. 75 Interchange to west of the south Fairmont Street intersection
- Iowa 376/Lewis Boulevard from south of Gordon Drive to D-12/Floyd Boulevard/46th Street exit
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
