That’s a pretty impressive job for a piece of fabric that has come standard with every vehicle manufactured since 1968. Before you go-go make sure you click your belt, every seat, every trip. It a two-second investment in time that can literally save your life.
Make sure you are wearing your belt correctly:
- Your shoulder belt should hit you between your shoulder and your neck. Many vehicles have the ability to adjust the height of your shoulder belt for a better fit depending on your size.
- Wear your shoulder belt across your chest, never tuck it behind your back or under your arm.
- Wear your lap belt across the hips and upper thighs, under your stomach.
