Construction Survey
Construction Survey involves 4 bid items. A brief description of each bid item is included below.
- Monument Preservation – preserving existing monuments (section corners) and alignment points (PC, PT, PI, POT, ect.)
- Control Point Survey – preserving existing control points, setting secondary control, and/or reestablishing missing control points.
- Right of Way Survey – locating/setting existing ROW points, proposed ROW points, or temporary easement points for projects.
- Construction Location Survey – surveying and staking work necessary for construction of the project that is not covered under monument preservation, control point survey, or ROW survey.
These bid items should be listed in the DM5 request checklist or 100% plan review for bridge projects and sent to the RCE and District Land Surveyor to confirm which bid items should be added to the project.
For Monument Preservation and ROW Survey, a table including coordinate points may be produced in the G Sheets. A note for the bid items may be included pointing to the G sheets.
